Pat began by working with his father, Richard Dockstader, at Golden Eagle Hay Company. He took that business over in 1990 and worked with forage products such as hay for many years. He then decided to diversify his business ventures and started growing hay directly to use in the export business of Golden Eagle Hay. P&T Enterprises, the farming venture was begun. He became more diversified with the addition of lemons, grapefruits, minneolas, sweet limes and medjool dates. As of 2017, all 860 acres of P&T’s fruit orchard is 100% USDA Organic. Pat then decided that rather than send his fruit to four different packing houses that he would pack his own fruit. He decided to include in his nephew, Dusty Dockstader, in this new venture.
Dusty had a hay trucking company- D&G Trucking that he started in 2006. He would haul hay and other forage products from various farmers. Dusty delivered these products to the Golden Eagle Hay Compress, as well as delivering to barns, feed stores and private individuals in nearby areas, such as Temecula, San Diego or Los Angeles. His trucking company grew as his client base expanded. In 2016, his uncle, Pat, asked him if he would like to partner with him in his farming company, P&T Enterprises. Together, they decided the time was right to open their own packing shed. Dusty loves to work, so farming and packing is perfect for him.
